How the papers were graded

I took 5 random looks at each paper's radio page(s.)  If the content contained a radio schedule, it's grade is a "D."  If the page also contained a radio advertisement, it immediately became a "C."  If there were stories about shows or stars on any of the 5 pages I checked, it became a "B."  And if the page also had a columnist devoted to radio, it became an "A."

However, that's not the say that inferior graded newspapers don't contain the items mentioned above.  Most do but you'll have to hunt for them.

To my knowledge, there were only two newspapers that had complete Sunday sections devoted to entertainment, including radio - and those are denoted with an "A++."
